Week 25: Kris Bryant

Holy cow! Has it really been three years since Kris Bryant was named my MLBoyfriend the first and until today only time? That's just bonkers.

I mean, KB is very good at baseball, and he's very good looking. That's a combo I usually reward more often.

Am I the only one digging the tan lines?
Bryant also happens to wear #17 which is my favorite number. He should definitely get some bonus points for that.

Kris Bryant is half of my favorite baseball bromance: BRYZZO. The other half is three-time MLBoyfriend, Anthony Rizzo.

So, picking Bryant as my MLBoyfriend gives me an excuse to post this adorable video.

Speaking of stuff to post, do you have any idea how may GIFs there are of Kris Bryant being cute? A lot, that's how many. Here's a small sampling of what's out there.

2016 MLBoyfriend Award Winners

Congratulations to my MLBoyfriends who won MLB awards for the 2016. Of course, no award is more coveted than that of MLBoyfriend, but the seven of you picked up some pretty nice things for your trophy cases.

José Altuve: Silver Slugger Award and Player of the Year (Sporting News Players Choice Award).

Josh Donaldson: In addition to being the only player named as my MLBoyfriend twice, Silver Slugger Award.

CONGRATS TO YOU ALL AGAIN! You all had great seasons in 2016. Don't rest on your laurels though. 2017 will be a tabula rasa for both MLB awards and my MLBoyfriend.

Week 20: Kris Bryant

The Chicago Cubs are having an amazing season, so it's a bit surprising that, until today, no Cubbie has been my MLBoyfriend. This is almost as bad as the Cubs' famous World Series drought. Just as he might well help the his team break the Curse of the Billy Goat, Kris Bryant is finally bringing the title of my MLBoyfriend back to Wrigley Field today.

Kris Bryant is certainly the leading contender to be the National League MVP this year and has some impressive stats for the season. Even in the midst of a great year, last week stood out. From August 15th to 21st, he had an incredible .483 batting average with a 1.359 OPS and three home runs. He batted in eleven runs and scored nine himself. Those stats are largely due to the incredible game Bryant had on August 18th: he went five for five at the plate with two home runs, four runs and five RBIs.

In addition to being a great baseball player, Kris Bryant is ever so dreamy.
